On a whim I bought some Canadian grown wild rice at the market knowing absolutely nothing about it but it seemed like a great opportunity to try something new. The size and colour was completely different from your conventional rice and I think that’s what I loved the most about it.
It didn’t take long before I noticed some lingering smells… No matter how much I washed it, you could smell the last thing I cooked in it. Smelling salsa while making mac and cheese wasn’t really what I was going for.
